Vriesea saundersii

A very nice Vriesea and an ideal candidate for large terrarium growing. Neoregelias are often sold for terrarium growing because they are easy to get and are cheap, however they are some of the more difficult ones to grow in the moist terrarium. Vrieseas are much more suited to the moist, humid tanks with variable lighting and this species has beautiful yellow bracts as a bonus. Although it can grow to around a foot or more, it is very slow growing and can fit into most terrariums for at least a year or so. Lots of leaf axils provide plenty of breeding sites as well. Available plants are approximately 5-7" tall.
