Spiral Ginger - Costus barbatus

A spectacular and easy to grow tropical native to Costa Rica! Fast growing canes grow in a spiral fashion with lush green leaves that feel like crushed velvet. Atop each stem is a cluster of red bracts from which emerge bright yellow flowers. The color last for weeks and there are always more canes growing to continue the show! Not a terrarium plant, these guys can reach about 6 feet tall eventually. Currently sending rhizome divisions.
