Nepenthes truncata 'SBG' (Singapore Botanical Gardens) - XS
A most impressive species that never fails to attract admirers, with its broad heart-shaped leaves and tough enormous pitchers. It’s a reliable grower, being adaptable to varying conditions.
This particular item was donated in-vitro by Singapore Botanic gardens, hence ‘SBG’ in the title. Nothing else is known about its provenance. We had assumed that it was most likely a lowland form, but it grows well for us in our highland nurseries, so we have since designated it as an intermediate grower.
History: First introduced through the wholesale auctions in Nov 2019, only eight batches were ever offered. It was last auctioned in Dec 2021 and was first added to the shop in May 2022.
