Species Description (courtesy of Borneo Exotics): A special hybrid exclusive to Borneo Exotics, and with a most curious feature.
Origin: Random selection from seed-grown, mixed with very many clones out of microprop.
Item Description: First introduced Dec 2019. The female parent is our selected clone of Nepenthes spathulata sold under BE-3175 and with collection ID 0441. The male parent is the Belirang form of Nepenthes singalana, selected from amongst the assorted clones sold under BE-3170 and with collection ID 0867.
This cross is most unusual. As the photos show, it’s a very handsome cross, but look at the lid and where the spur emerges. This is on the only plant we have raised so far, so we’re not sure whether or not this is a stable characteristic. But if so, it’s very interesting. With the spur emerging from within the margin of the lid in this way, almost gives the impression the lid has been somehow stuck on.
The photos shown here are representative and may not be identical clones to the plants you receive.
