Species Description: Endemic to Sumatra, Indonesia, this species is tolerant of a wide range of temperatures as it naturally occurs between about 300m and 1,100m altitude. We grow it in highland conditions, but see no reason why it should not tolerate warmer conditions also. It generally prefers lower light levels to many other Nepenthes species, as it naturally occurs in dense submontane forest where it climbs strongly upwards towards the light.
