Monocostus uniflorus

A great little spiral ginger, so named due to the leaves being arranged in a spiral fashion on the stem. Growing only 12"-18" tall it is suitable for most terrariums. 1"-2" sturdy leaves provide great climbing areas as well as egg deposition sites for smaller species (especially thumbnails). When the stem matures it produces a bright yellow, 2" flower at the tip.
