Description

This is a larger growing bromeliad with an unusual orange with yellow tipped inflorescence which resembles the shape of a pine cone, hence its name. Easy to grow as a houseplant, they are also great for adding color to the terrarium as they enjoy the high humidity. These are young plants growing in 2" pots and may take a year or longer before becoming blooming size/age. The plants are currently about 3+" tall and can be grown terrestrially in a well-drained tropical mix or they can be mounted and grown epiphytically with some damp sphagnum moss secured to the base. (photo of bloom for reference only, remember, these are NOT BLOOMING at this time.)
