| Drosophila hydei. Larger, winged yet flightless fruit fly about the size of a pinhead cricket. Hydei generally have a slower reproductive cycle compared to melanogaster, however the fly size is larger. Now sold as a large 32 oz. size feeder culture. Produces up to a few thousand flies over a 3-5 week period. Yields may vary and are dependent upon usage, temperature and relative humidity, or other environmental conditions. NOTE: A Shipping and handling surcharge to cover actual cost of s&h fees may apply to orders with more than 5 cultures. You will not see this surcharge during checkout.
