A neat little species of Begonia that is both easy and interesting to grow! The common name comes from the fact that the color of the leaf will change depending on it's exposure to bright light. Specialized cells in the leaf can reorient themselves to refract light and prevent burning in sunlight. This can be demonstrated by laying a piece of paper or similar object across a portion of the leaf and placing the plant in bright light. After several minutes, remove the object and you can see the difference in leaf color! Very easy to grow in both the terrarium and in the home. Available plants are growing in 3" deep pots.
